EXAMINATION SYSTEM
The new examination system includes uniformity in system of assessment, examination pattern and
report card for class I-X. A student has to secure at least 33% of marks in each of the
5 mandatory subjects (IX & X only) which will be assessed on a 8 - Point scale grading system.
Internal Assessment features-20 marks which will be completed through three different modes :

Co-Scholastic Activities
Co-Scholastic Activities will be graded on a five-point scale (A-E) but
there will be no Descriptive Indicators.
The detail components of the scheme are mentioned below for easy understanding and implementation.
Scholastic Area
The assessment structure and examination for class I to X have been prepared in
view of the provisions of RTE-Act 2009 and comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and Term-2 as
explained below:

Class VI : 10% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term
Class VII : 20% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term
Class VIII : 30% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term |
Subject Enrichment Activities :
These are subject-specific activities aimed at enhancing the
understanding and skills of the students. These activities are to be carried out throughout the
term, however, they will be evaluated at the term-end. '
All assessments with regard to academic status of students will be done in marks and overall
assessment will be given in grades.
Student shall be assessed accordingly to following grades.

Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes Vl-VIII) :
For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out in CBSE affiliated schools by the teachers
and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good and
C: Fair). The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork be the generic
criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:
